She is now the lead judge in a progrm to improve the effricienchy of the courts and has worked through her large caseload. The Sun endorses Cynthia 'Dianne' Steel.

Judge Steel, who handles primarily abuse and neglect cases, had an acceptable sixty percent retention rating in the Review-Journal's most recent judicial survey. Mis Mastin says she entered the race so Judge Steel would not go unopposed, but she offers no compelling reason to make a change. Voters can confidently retain hard-working Judge Cynthia "Dianne" Steel.

Noteworthy News:
Judge Cynthia 'Dianne' Steel has been appointed to lead the court's new Model court efforts. The Family Court in Clark County applied for and received the designation of Model Court last month. Shortly thereafter, Judge Steel was named to lead the court and to direct the three Hearing Masters who work with abused and neglected children in our district every day. The charge of the Model Court is to improve the status of the dependency court division, repairing the administration of cases, obtaining consistency and timely permanency for the chldren in Foster Care.

Working will all stakeholders in our community, I am confident we can put a system in place that the citizens of Clark County can be proud of.
